Kimm, Inez
Inez Kimm, 87, of Iowa City, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Mercy Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospital Foundation for Mercy Hospice or Atrium Village.
Inez was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Oxford, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Arta Austin. She was a graduate of Grinnell High School. On Sept. 3, 1947, Inez marred Dale Kimm.
Inez began her career as a cosmetologist in 1944. She loved her work and continued caring for her clients needs until the time of her death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, National Hairdressers Association and the Coralville American Legion. Inez enjoyed camping and doing needle work.
Inez is survived by her son, Kevin (Randi) Kimm of Iowa City; a brother, Arlo (Carol) Austin of Arlington, Texas; and two sisters, Irene Terrazas of Santa Fe, N.M. and Audrey Oltrogge of Grinnell.
Inez was preceded in death by husband, Dale Kimm; her parents, Charles and Arta Austin; two brothers, Clyde Austin and Wayne Austin; and a son, Terrance Kimm.
