Stoltenberg, Myrna Rae
Myrna Rae Stoltenberg, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God. Pastor Larry Sohn and Pastor Rick Gail will officiate. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Gene; a daughter, Terri (David) Dyrland of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Mark of Mesa, Ariz., and Brad (Vicki) of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Jonathan (Meegan) Dyrland and Daniel (Megan) Dyrland, both of Cedar Rapids, Kylie Stoltenberg of Chandler, Ariz., and Emi (Dyrland) Chapman of Cedar Rapids; six great-grandchildren, Elliott, Alana, Allie and Zachariah Dyrland and Kennedy and Olivia Chapman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Myrna was born July 6, 1933, in Titonka, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Martha Ness Cooper. She married Gene E. Stoltenberg on March 24, 1956, in Goldfield, Iowa. Myrna was an upper elementary schoolteacher for 15 years. Later she was a staff member at the American Cancer Society, retiring in 1996, after 18 years of service.
Myrna was a faithful member of First Assembly of God and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.
