Klinger, Elinor Frances

MARION - Elinor Frances Klinger, 65, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle against breast cancer on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at River of Life Ministries by Pastor Brent Watkins. Friends may visit after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.

Fran is survived by four children, Sherri Salow and Ron Klinger Jr., both of Delhi, Christy Klinger of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dallas (Chris) Carey of Minneapolis; son-in-law, Scott Salow of Delhi; mother, Catherine I. Rennekamp of Cedar Rapids; sister, Susan German of Austin, Texas; four brothers, Michael (Sue) Rennekamp of Columbus, Ohio, Steve (Rose) Rennekamp of North Liberty, Mark Rennekamp of Des Moines and Dan (Paige) Rennekamp of Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Kelsey, Caitlin and Alex Salow and Behr Carey.

Fran was preceded in death by her father, Robert M. Rennekamp; and brother, Robert G. Rennekamp.

Fran was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Robert and Catherine Morgan Rennekamp. She was a very active member of River of Life Ministries.

Fran loved spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading, working on craft projects and helping others.

A memorial fund has been established in Fran's name.
