Druger, C.J. 'Bud'
C.J. “Bud” Druger, 85, of Davenport, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Genesis West Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bud was born July 28, 1927, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of Cornelius Jasper and Bertha (Vanderlinde) Druger. He was united in marriage to Jeannette Peterson on June 26, 1949, in Sioux Falls. He enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and never missed his monthly poker game or his daily crossword. He also loved to golf with his friends and was devoted to his family.
He had worked in the dairy industry as a longtime plant manager at Medd-O-Lane, always up at 5 a.m. or before. He was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 63 years, Jeannette; daughters, Christine (Dennis) Patterson, Monticello, Ark., Pamela Druger (Paul Lewellan), Davenport, and Becky (John) Keppy, Maysville, Iowa; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Dudley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and twin sisters.
