Rolfes, Kimberly B.
Kimberly B. Rolfes, 42, of Petersburg, died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, where a parish Scripture service will be held at 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate.
Kim was born May 29, 1969, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Roy White and Peggy (McEnany) White. She graduated from Beckman High School with the class of 1987. On June 26, 1999, after a very long engagement, she married William J. Rolfes at St. Francis Xavier Basilica. She was a dedicated employee of Modernfold for nearly 17 years.
Reading and spending time with family and friends were some of Kim's favorite pastimes.
Surviving are her husband, Bill; two children, Nicki White (special friend Nick Klein) of Waterloo and Adam Rolfes of Petersburg; her parents, Roy White (special friend Cheryl Meader) of Earlville and Peggy (McEnany) White of Worthington; a sister, Kelly (Ken) Schuyler, and their children, Danielle and Sydney, of Germantown, Wis.; her father-in-law, Marvin (Janet) Rolfes of Colesburg; brothers- and-sisters-in-law, Bob Rolfes of Petersburg, Kathy (and her son, Aaron) Hefel of Dyersville, Lori (Larry) Clark of Osage, Lana (Doug) Hollar of Calmar, Lisa (Todd) Miller of Charles City and Lee (Cristine) Morley of Westgate; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Patricia Rolfes; and grandparents, John and Velma White and Louis and Stella McEnany.
