Joan C. Steffes, 82, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at Willow Gardens Care Center. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids,
with Certified Celebrant Julie Freese officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
Survivors include her children, Susan Clark of Marion, Charles (Janet) of Alburnett and Dennis (Vicki) of Marion; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; a sister, Lola Borseth; and a brother, Bud Quandahl.
Joan Steffes was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford and Ida Ellingson Quandahl. On Aug. 19, 1951, she married Charles Steffes in Spring Grove, Minn.
Joan enjoyed traveling to the casino on a regular basis whether she was winning or losing.
Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
