The caucuses are not a mess

'One big mess” conjures the current administration's public explanations of why Gen. Qassem Soleimani was assassinated. Or 'taken out.” We take out trash; we assassinate people we deem enemies. We gaslight the public with obfuscations when we retroactively act. Or react. And we give interviews to Fox News and scream on Twitter that whistleblowers should be revealed. We accuse Democrats of being terrorists. We obstruct justice by instructing witnesses not to testify. We care more about Supreme Court nominees than [fill in the blank]. We tolerate lies and slander and meanness. From the top we get the clear message that lying is the only way to keep moving forward. We maintain power by gaslighting day after day, week after week, year after year. Our president has avoided accountability as each day moves forward.

Caucuses are not one big mess unless we decide they are. Money in politics is a much bigger mess, in my opinion.

Do not deceive yourselves. The democratic nominees have arrived to clean up the mess. Iowans are privileged to welcome them into our process.

Jonathan Green, in all due respect, is whining. Set that whine aside, sir. We are better than that.
