JERRY NOAH Central City Jerry Noah, 71, of Central City, formerly of Marion, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Please join us from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Woodpecker Lodge in Pinicon Ridge Park, Central City, for an informal gathering to celebrate the life of Jerry Noah. Visitation begins at noon, with service at 1 p.m. Jeans and sweatshirts are appropriate. Jerry donated his body to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. His remains will be cremated next year when studies are complete. Survivors include his wife, Dianne "Annee"; children, Andy Noah and Matt Berry; and sister, Lori and husband Jim VanZuuk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorin and Evalyn Noah; and his brother, Jon Noah. Jerry was born at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, and raised in Marion. He spent most of his life in Linn County. A true master craftsman, his skill set allowed him to touch the lives of numerous people. Jerry lived close to the earth with reverence for the mystery of life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa Public Radio. Thank you to the many health care providers who were part of Jerry's final months.
