Leon G. Schweitzer Jr., 75, was dead on arrival Monday, June 29, 2015, at Buchanan County Health Center, Independence. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, at Fawcett Funeral Home, Winthrop. Burial: Fremont Township Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, and until services on Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene, of Winthrop; two sons, Michael (Carol) Schweitzer of Winthrop and Dave (Tammy) Schweitzer of Aurora: two daughters, Susan Schweitzer of Cedar Rapids and Cheryl (Dave) Ramm of Keystone; five grand-daughters, Janelle Schweitzer, Jessalyn (Shawn) Sparks, Danielle Schweitzer, Davien Schweitzer and Madelyne Ramm; and a sister, Carol Cowell of Elkader.
