Richard B. “Rick” Fiester, 89, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Buchanan County Health Center, Independence. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. John's Catholic Church, Independence. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. today, White Funeral Home, Independence. Parish rosary: 3 p.m. and vigil service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survived by his wife, Agnes; one daughter, Susan McMorris, Cedar Rapids; three sons, David Fiester and Mark (Lynda) Fiester, both Independence, and Steven Fiester, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
