Kaesser, Delbert L.
Delbert L. Kaesser, 96, of Rowley, died March 19, 2011, at Buchanan County Health Center in Independence. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, March 22, at White Funeral Home in Independence. Private burial services will follow at Rowley Cemetery in Rowley.
He was born in Cono Township of Buchanan County, Iowa, the son of William Frederick and Clista Alice (Heiserman) Kaesser. On Aug. 28, 1934, he and the former Nina Pearl Ague were married at the home of the bride's parents in Cono Township. They owned and operated Kaesser, Inc., and sold John Deere farming equipment for 26 years. They retired in 1973.
Mr. Kaesser is survived by his wife, Nina; a son, Merle (Neva) Kaesser of Waverly; two daughters, Kitty (Franklin) Rehberg of Rowley and Kathy (Chuck) Butterfield of Independence; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
