Cubbage, Bertha May
Bertha May Cubbage, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Silvercrest of Anamosa. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 23, 2013, at the Anamosa United Methodist Church. Pastor Laurie Riley will officiate at the service. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Feb. 23 at the church, before the service. Internment will be at the Lakeside Cemetery in Dover, Del. at a later date.

Surviving is her daughter, Carla Lynn (Jim) Burge of Anamosa; two grandchildren, Steven Burg and Jennifer Weber; and two great-grandchildren, Janissa and Braedon Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John (Jack) Norman Cubbage in 1997; and a brother, Carl L. Clough.
Bertha was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Hartly, Del. She was the daughter of Robert Edge and Ida May Reed Clough. Bertha and John Cubbage were united in marriage on June 3, 1950, at Asbury Methodist Church in Clayton, Del. Bertha was a home maker for most of her life. In June 2001, Bertha moved to Anamosa from Dover, were she attended the First Congregational Church of Christ. Bertha was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Above and beyond hospice.
