Wicher, Cindy Lee (Gage)

Cindy Lee (Gage) Wicher, 46, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband and best friend of 25 years, Rocky; a son, Travis of Rayne, La.; daughters, Briana and Brittany; stepson, Victor; special daughter, Maxine Prime; her mother, Janice Miner (Dale) of Springville; brother, Ron Gage (Kim) of Vinton; sisters, Linda Smejkal (Mike) of Palo, and Jenny Gage (Scott) of Marion; grandmother, Audrey Gage; special friends, Shelly Lutenske and Jen Goad; and all her new friends from the hospice house.

Also surviving are many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, adopted daughters and grandchildren and many friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Ronald; a brother, Shane; her maternal grandparents; and paternal grandfather, Lynn.

Cindy was born in Cedar Rapids on Aug. 12, 1964. She attended school in Springville. She had many hobbies and enjoyed gambling and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
