Peggy Lee Brake, 65, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren, Cedar Rapids, where a visitation will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jerry Bertelson and the Rev. Tammy Buseman will officiate.
Survivors include her daughter, Dina Brake; son, Aron Brake; mother, Beth King, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Tony (Kathy) King and family of Ohio; and mother-in-law, Ruth Brake of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Mike Brake, in 2009; and a brother, Steven King.
Peggy Lee Brake was born April 21, 1951, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Beth (Carte) King. On Aug. 9, 1975, she married Michael E. Brake in Cedar Rapids. Peggy worked at Rockwell Collins for 35 years until retiring in 2011.
