Patricia A. "Pat" St. Germain, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will take place from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

Pat was born March 7, 1949, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to James LeRoy and Minnie (Adelmund) Clar. She received her bachelor's of science degree from the University of Northern Iowa and her master's degree in library science from the University of Iowa. Pat was united in marriage to Dennis Lee "Denny" St. Germain on July 24, 1971, in Cedar Rapids. To this union, two children were born.

Pat worked as a media specialist at Harding Middle School for 40 years. She previously worked as an English teacher and also as a floral designer at Flowerama for 15 years. Pat was an active community member. She especially enjoyed being a part of a mahjong club, book club, a potluck group and the Rotary Club.

Pat enjoyed spending her time gardening and reading. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pat is survived by two children, Matt (Erin) St. Germain of Iowa Falls and Dana (Robert Costas) St. Germain of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Keaton St. Germain and Elouise Costas; father, James Clar of Marion; brother, Bob (Carla) Clar of Ryan; sister, JoAnn (Les) Lang of Monona; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Rich VanZile of Toddville; and a loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny, in 2009; her mother, Minnie; and her father and mother-in-law, Cecil and Rita St. Germain.

Memorial contributions in Pat's honor may be made to the Dennis St. Germain Foundation.
