Schwake, Annette
Annette M. Schwake, 78, of the Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at the Martin Center in Cedar Falls. Services:
10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church. Burial: Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty–Waychoff–Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Tuesday.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Annette was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Independence, daughter of Edward and Gertrude Kuhn Zimpher. She married Paul J. Schwake on April 17, 1952, in Independence. He died Jan. 14, 2004. She and her husband co-owned A&P Food Equipment/Hobart Sales and Service since 1971. They retired in 1994.
Survivors include four sons, Stephen (Donna) and Jeffrey (Mary), both of Waterloo, David (Eileen) of Bremerton, Wash., and Mark (Sue) of Marion; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Miriam Butterfield of Osceola.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Zimpher.
