Klingler, Josephine E.
Josephine E. Klingler, 96, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at Seven Haven Assisted Living Center in Mesa after a short illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Susie) of Mesa, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Eric of California and Barry and his wife, Becky, of Alburnett; and two great-grandsons, Tanner and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Anna Glass; and three brothers, Hugh, George and Dick McLaughlin.
Josephine was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Lydia (Leinen) McLaughlin. She married Harold D. Klingler on Oct. 5, 1934, in Independence. He died in 1988. Josephine was a secretary for Dr. Keith for many years. She was a former member of Daughters of the Nile and Eastern Star.
A memorial fund has been established in Josephine's name.
