Sterling, Albert 'Al'
Albert “Al” Sterling, 85, of Hiawatha, died at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion, on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is entrusted with arrangements and interment.
Albert is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Joy (Donald) Kramer and Kathy (Merle) Pettengill, both of La Porte City, Susie (Tim) Williams of Holy Cross, and Patty (Scott) Scholl of Ankeny; sisters, Viola McDonald of Mammoth Springs, Ark., Ruby Browning of Stockton, Mo., and Carole Koehn of Oroville, Calif.; a brother, Joseph (Doris) Sterling of Hermann, Mo.; stepchildren, Judy Benson of Denver, Colo., and Craig Benson of Hiawatha; 11grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Maude; and brothers, Floyd and Leonard.
