Nelsen, Sherrie L.
Sherrie L. Nelsen, 53, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. Sherrie donated her body to the University of Iowa School of Medicine. A gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Sherrie Lynn Nelsen was born March 2, 1959, to Al and Susie Nelsen in Brookings, S.D. She was an incredible gardener and enjoyed bicycling. Survivors include a son, Broder Nelsen; mother, Sue Bentley; and father, Al (Pam) Nelsen, all of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Thad (Holly) Nelsen of Fair Hope, Ala., York (Kerry) Nelsen of Grimes, Curt (Kathi) Nelsen of Cedar Rapids and Nicole (Matt) Ryburn of Lewisville, Texas; an aunt, Dorothy Nelson of Fargo, N.D.; and nine nieces and nephews.
