Frances M. Foley, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The Rev. Ivan Nienhaus will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the church after 9 a.m. Friday.
Survivors include her two daughters, Diana (Chuck) Langguth and Teresa (Chuck) Strain, both of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Donald "Babe" Perrin of Milwaukee, Wis.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; a son, Steven; and six brothers.
Frances was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Mystic, Iowa, the daughter of LeRoy and Minnie Reeves Perrin. She married Raymond C. Foley on Feb. 18, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. Ray passed away in 2011.
Frances worked at several retail stores in Cedar Rapids and retired after many years of service. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Frances enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards and especially the time spent with her beloved family and friends.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.
