Williams, Vivian Marie

Vivian Marie Williams, 92, of Chetek, Wis., formerly of Bellevue, passed away Feb. 7, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health Care Systems Northland in Barron, Wis.

She was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Bellevue, Iowa, the daughter of Roy “Doc” and Anna (Becker) Cheney.

Vivian leaves to celebrate her memory a daughter, Billie (Merle) Linkletter, Chetek, Wis.; granddaughters, Susan K. Linkletter, Chetek, Wis., and Jill Marie (Steve) Grehn, Ashland, Wis.; sisters, Thelma Meier and Lois (Ron) Petesch, and Ardis (George) Hinke, who was like a sister to Vivian; and other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy “Doc” and Anna Cheney; her husband, Howard “Harry” Williams; sisters, Dorothy Jess and Jeanette Rathje; and her brother, Bud Cheney.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue. Vivan's family will greet visitors at the church one hour before the service. Vivian will be laid to rest at the Presbyterian Cemetery following the service.

The Burnham-Ours Funeral Home of Chetek, Wis., has been entrusted with arrangements.
