Meincke, Judy
Judy Meincke, 48, of West Branch, died Friday, September 11, 2009, at her home.Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Betsey Neipert of the Nichols United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Barry Berg, Bill Batzkiel, Leo Kirkpatrick, John Wertzbaugher, Alan Birkhofer, and Rick Smith. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Judy was born on April 18, 1961, in Muscatine, the daughter of Harold R. and Karen L. Stanford Moran. She married Dave L. Meincke on May 2, 1992, in West Liberty. She graduated from Columbus Junction High School, class of 1980. She worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the Department of Family Medicine/Family Care Center. She enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets and camping.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dave L. Meincke of West Branch; one step-son, Chris Meincke and wife, Ashley of North Liberty; her mother, Karen L. Moran of Muscatine; one brother, James Moran of West Liberty; and one sister, Joyce Tulliani of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Moran in 1998.
Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Hospice.
