Rupp, Nathan B.
Nathan B. Rupp, 83, of Hiawatha, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion. A visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Nathan B. Rupp was born Dec. 19, 1929, to Ora and Wilma Ealy Rupp in Belle Plaine, Iowa. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Nathan was united in marriage to Martha Rodriguez on Aug. 7, 1976, in Davenport, Iowa. She passed away in 2011.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and driving around the country side.
He is survived by his children, Robert Waddell, Lisa Noethe (Mike Beyer) and Nicole, all of Cedar Rapids, Shelly Rupp of Des Moines, Heidi (Buck) Miner of Belle Plaine and Lori Cooperider of Washington, Iowa; many loving brothers and sisters; two dogs, Pinky and Honey; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha; son, Brian; sisters, Maggie and Joyce; and brothers, Stan and Paul.
