Hamiilton, Robert 'Bob' R.

Robert “Bob” R. Hamilton, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at home following a lengthy illness. Services:  11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Keryl; sons, Wade Fink of Marion and Joe Hamilton of Austin, Texas; sister, Linda Dart (Calvin) of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Kylie Fink of Northglenn, Colo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Robert Ulch.

Robert R. Hamilton was born May 21, 1944, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Raymond “Bud” and Mary Ellen (Logan) Hamilton. On June 13, 1981, he married Keryl Bunn in Cedar Rapids. Bob owned and operated Sammy's Lounge in Cedar Rapids since 1979. Bob enjoyed playing cards, golfing, fishing, cars and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

The family would like to especially thank all the wonderful people at the Iowa Blood & Cancer Care Center, Hall Radiation and St. Luke's Hospice for the wonderful care and support given to Bob.
