Craig, Alice Ann
Alice Ann Craig, 80, of Living Center West, died there Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, from cancer. Private family inurnment services will be at the Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum columbarium. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; two daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Sparks of Cedar Rapids and Jean (John) Bjorseth of Hiawatha; a sister, Mary Fuller of Manchester; four grandchildren, Cory (Casie) Sparks, Stacey (Scott) Weiss and Erik (Karen) Bjorseth, all of Hiawatha, and Craig (Lacey) Bjorseth of Cedar Falls; and eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Mandy and Matthew Weiss, Skyler and Gunner Sparks and Lucas, Tyler and Evan Bjorseth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Vera and Wilma.
Alice was born June 13, 1931, in Central City, the daughter of Eugene and Edna (Dunn) Drexler. She married Richard L. Craig on Feb. 14, 1955, in Central City. Alice worked at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after many years of service.
She was a member of First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren. Alice enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially the time she spent with her beloved family and friends.
She was a wonderful, caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Mercy or a charity of the donor's choice.
