Aulwes, Matthew Richard
Matthew Richard Aulwes, 21, of Millville, was called to heaven on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, from his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 15, 1990, in Guttenberg to Rick and Linda Aulwes. Matthew grew up in the Guttenberg area, where he graduated from Clayton Ridge School with the class of 2009. After school, Matthew worked as an auto body mechanic. Matthew loved anything to do with cars. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, hitting golf balls, getting his trucks dirty, aggravating his nieces, snowboarding, loved his Fords, not bow ties. Matthew collected guns and knives and enjoyed taking walks through the woods.
Matthew will be forever loved and cherished by his parents, Rick and Linda Aulwes; sister, Amanda (Chad) Ihde; brother, Robert (Stacey) Aulwes; nieces, Kaysi and Haleigh Ihde; paternal grandmother, Lois Aulwes; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert “Bob” Aulwes; and maternal grandparents, Dale and Betty Niehaus.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Shane Anderson officiating. Inurnment will be in Guttenberg City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 207 S. First St., Guttenberg, and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
