Klouda, Adelene Lydia
Adelene Lydia Klouda, 96, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at St. Luke's Living Center East. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil.
Adelene was born Feb. 14, 1916, in North Liberty, the daughter of Mike and Tillie (Kadera) Machula. She married George J. Klouda on Aug. 18, 1936, in Cedar Rapids. She loved traveling and dancing with her husband, playing cards with friends and doing word search puzzles. Adelene always had a smile on her face when the grandchildren came over to see her.
Adelene is survived by her children, Kenneth (Martha) Klouda of Coggon and Cliff (Karen) Klouda of Cedar Rapids, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Adelene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Klouda on April 19, 2000; a son, Raymond; a sister, Alice Pospisil; and an infant sister, Wilma.
