Edna M. Bentrott, 88, of Lowden, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Clarence Nursing Home. Private family graveside services will be in Inland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland.
Edna was born Feb. 13, 1928, in rural Tipton, the daughter of John "Ed" and Anna (Myers) Mueller. She married Delmar Bentrott on April 11, 1945, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland. They were married for 58 years. He passed away July 15, 2003.
Edna attended school in Bennett and also Wheatland. She was a farmer's wife and mother and enjoyed dancing, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America (Sunbury Camp).
She is survived by her son, Gary and wife Sherry of Bennett; three grandchilden, Cheryl (Mike) Middagh of Muscatine, Steven Bentrott of Lowden and Rick (Merea) of Bennett; seven great-grandchildren, Collin Telsrow, Conner Telsrow, Shannon Telsrow, Hayden Bentrott, Harper Bentrott, Jenna Bentrott and Grady Bentrott; a sister-in-law, Elenor Bentrott of Lost Nation; and a sister and brother-in-law, Chuck and Margie Tubbs of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a granddaughter, Dawn Bentrott, in 1988
