Koffron, Oliver Joseph
Oliver Joseph Koffron, 72, of Middleton, Wis., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, in Middleton. Visitation at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Cress University, 6021 University Ave., Madison, Wis., with a service following at noon, Monsignor Dushack of St. Bernards Parish presiding. Burial: Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Madison, Wis.
Survivors include his wife, Maureen Mazzaoui; children, (by Mary Madden): Angus (Heather O'Hara), Alan (Julie Stein) and Steve (Amy Allison); his grandchildren, Faith, Cole, Nicholas, Ryan, Declan, Finian and Matilde; Koffron siblings include, Connie May (Robert), sister-in-law Joyce (Trpkosh) Koffron, Joseph (Rosemary Merritt), Donald, Louis (Sandra Carreira), Elizabeth Koffron-Eisen (Thomas), Paul (Patricia Reinig) and Soul Dancer; and over 20 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Esther Koffron; brother, Arthur Koffron; and first wife, Mary Madden.
Oliver Joseph Koffron, beloved husband, father and grandfather, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Jan. 16, 1941. He attended Loras College in Dubuque. He subsequently served in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1980.
