Angell, Mary C.
Mary C. Angell, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City. Services were held in Cedar Rapids. Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Elmo; her children, Tina (Kirk) Olson of Newberg, Ore., Teri Moore of Carrollton, Texas, Kent (Diana) Angell of Cedarville, Ill., Bruce Angell and Brenda Angell, both of Cedar Rapids, Linda (Dave) Milbach of Marion and Carol (Jayson Hebdon) Angell of Robins; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Harold Klote, Theresa Farina, Lucille Churchwell, Jean Klote, Ruth Hettinger and Paul Klote; and her dog, Sam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Martha Kriegshauser.
Mary was born April 25, 1930, the daughter of Glenn and Olive (Thompson) Klote, in Quincy, Ill. On Aug. 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Elmo Angell in Quincy. Mary loved spending time with her family and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Mother of Twins Association and was involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Organization.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1026 A Ave., NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402, in memory of Mary.
