Evelyn M. Schoff, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Mercy Hallmar. There will be private family services at a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include four nephews, Steven (Jean) Hempel of Omaha, Neb., Dan Hempel of Ventura, Calif., Charles (Dottie) Stock of Northwood, Iowa, and Thomas Stock of Cedar Rapids; and four nieces, Barbara (Sam) Moore of Lake Kiowa, Texas, Linda (Don) Welch of Mount Vernon, Ill., and Sharon (Larry) Easler and Mary (Gary) Nanke, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband and eight brothers and sisters.
Evelyn was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Cedar County, the daughter of Daniel and Emma Martzahn Stock. She married Melvin Schoff on Aug. 20, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. Melvin passed away in 2009.
Evelyn worked at Rockwell Collins and retired from there after more than 25 years of service.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing trips and had a great love for animals.
She was a wonderful person who had an infectious smile and whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
