McLees, Christopher Patrick
Christopher Patrick McLees, 46 of 411-27th St. NE, Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church by the Rev. David Beckman. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at Teahen Funeral Home where friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. and after 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Chris is survived by his parents, Tim and Carol McLees of Cedar Rapids; an aunt and uncle, Dixie and Michael Mally of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Marguerite Ashley and Kenneth and Helen McLees.
Chris was born May 19, 1965, in Cedar Rapids the son of Tim and Carol Ashley McLees. He was a graduate of Regis High School and worked for several years for the Cedar Rapids School District.
