Kvarda, Margaret
Margaret Kvarda, 93, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Winslow House in Marion after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Edgewood Family Fellowship Church, by the Rev. Mark Larson. Friends may visit at the church Monday after 9:30 a.m. Private burial: Czech National Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Diane (Terry) Miller, and her son, Jerry (Carmen) Kvarda, both of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Todd (Tasha) Miller, Dan (Tanya) Miller, Jennifer (Chris) Dubois, Candice Kvarda and Amy Kadlec; and seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew, Macey, Marissa, Hunter, Michael and Orion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward (2007); two brothers, Bill and Larry; and four sisters, Betty Gralund, Shirley English, Jean Berger and Bernadine Burguss.
Margaret was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Lucille (Burk) Grady. She married Edward on Feb. 10, 1941, in Cedar Rapids. Margaret was a member of Edgewood Family Fellowship.
Margaret enjoyed going shopping with her sisters every Saturday, going out to eat, playing bingo and watching the Game Show Network.
Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice.
