Letter: We can learn to live with geese

Regarding the May 22 guest column by Rich Patterson, 'Should Cedar Rapids kill geese?”:
No doubt there is no place in our perfect society for anything that mates for life and displays only innocence and grace.
Their only bad habit is potty training. Hardly worthy of a death sentence.
How about flushing the poop away with high pressure tanks with a mixture of water and pungent odor they don't like.
Their gifts to us are 10 times greater than their demise. Finding a cure for their tiny problem and learning to live with them and learn from them is the right choice.
