Kernels send Garver to DL
The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced Wednesday that catcher Mitch Garver has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with concussion symptom
Garver was removed from Tuesday's game at Peoria. He is hitting .306 this seeason with eight home runs and 47 RBIs.
The University of New Mexico product leads the Kernels in batting average, homers, RBIs and slugging percentage. The parent Minnesota Twins did not announce a move corresponding to Garver's DL stint, thus the Kernels will have 24 active players, one under maximum.
