Joan Rosemary (Butschi) Reding, 86, was called to the Lord on July 9, 2015, after a stroke. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Murdoch- Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. David Renfro. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by her
children, Bev (Terry) Elbert of Indianola, Steve Reding of Preston, Iowa, and Deb Spain, Mark (Cheryl) Reding, Sherrie
(Bob) Justin, Darlene (Dave) Frith and Renee (Bob) Reding, all of Cedar Rapids; son-in-law, Don Culver of Pleasant Lake, Ind.; and siblings, Robert, Betty and Helen. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Chad, Edward, Rob, Joy, Dawn, Alicia, Mike, Matthew, Becky, Jarod, Naomi and Kyle; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence; a daughter, Connie; and siblings, Violet, Joyce and John.
Joan was born April 29, 1929, a daughter of John and Mary (Fischer) Butschi, in Morley, Iowa. Joan was married to Clarence Reding on Dec. 11, 1959. She had many jobs throughout her life, but being a mother and homemaker was what she enjoyed. Joan loved crafts, baking, helping people and her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran kitchen or UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospice, Cedar Rapids.
