Roepke, LaVon Watson
LaVon Watson Roepke, 88, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City after a lengthy illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Aurora. Burial: Union Cemetery, north of Aurora. Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fawcett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Winthrop and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church in Aurora.
Survivors include her husband, Albert of Aurora; two sons, Michael (Leanna) Roepke of Lamont and Richard (Barbara) Roepke of Aurora; four daughters, Kathy (Jim) Keasler of Iowa City, Marilyn (Allan) Braaten of Thermopolis, Wyo., Ruth (Jim) Nelson of Clinton and Betty (Bruce) Landis of Elkader; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
