Burton, Lucille Marie
Lucille Marie Burton, 92, of Hiawatha, passed away July 2, 2013, of natural causes. The family attended a private graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery and will announce a memorial service at a later date.
Lucille was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Fredonia, Wis., to Otto and Mary (Ney) Kultgen. She married Jack L. Burton on Aug. 3, 1940. Lucille was a bridal consultant at Killian's for 17 years before retiring in 1980.
Lucille is survived by her son, Thomas (Diana) Burton of Great Falls, Mont.; daughter, Suzanne (Alan) Buck of Marion; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol Murphy of Winter Park, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and brother, Norman Kultgen.
Lucille made many friends playing bridge. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her home. She had many other interests, including gardening, decorating, golf and reading. Her Catholic faith was also very important to her.
