Krieg, Leon
Leon Krieg, 80, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at his home. Services will be announced at a later date.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; two daughters, five stepsons, five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nine stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bernice Krieg; and a sister.
Leon was born on a farm near Edgewood, Iowa, on July 24, 1929.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Leon's name to either Trinity Congregational Church of Christ, 1110 State Road 540 W, Winter Haven, FL 33880; or Good Shepard Hospice, 115 S. Missouri Ave., Lakeland FL 33815.
Lee was a caring, soft-spoken man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
