Bertha A. Gretter, 91, formerly of Williamsburg and Harper, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Holy Trinity Parish St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Charles Fladung and the Rev. Joseph Roost officiating. Burial at Holy Trinity Cemeteries St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 27, at the church where there will be a wake service at
4 p.m.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean (Dr. Randy) Blaylock of Sigourney; four sons, Donald J. (Linda) Gretter of Peyton, Colo., Samuel C. (Cheryl) Gretter, Anthony C. (Pam) Gretter and Kenneth A. (Angie) Gretter, all of Harper; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Mary) Fladung of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, John Wynn Gretter; sister, Dorothy Sisk; half sister, Marcella Durian; and half brother, Omer Flander.
