Froning, Blanche
Blanche Froning, 94, entered into rest on Jan. 5, 2011, in Modesto, Calif., with her loving family at her side. A service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at Samaritan Village, 7700 Fox Rd., Hughson, CA 95326.
Born May 26, 1916, she was raised in Garrison, Iowa, where she taught country school before becoming a homemaker. She and her husband “Bud” Froning raised four children, sharing with them a great love for life, education, music and sports. At her Vinton church she was the music director for many years, touching many people with her beautiful gift.
Blanche moved later to Dana Point, Calif., and then to Samaritan Village in Hughson, Calif., where she enjoyed life and many wonderful friends.
Blanche will always be remembered as a caring, accepting and loving person.
Preceded in death by her husband, W.W. “Bud” Froning, Blanche leaves behind her beloved partner of many years, Ken Amann; her four children, Dan Froning of Ogden, Sylvia Mundt of Hughson, Calif., Thera Cavin of Lodi, Calif., and Tom Froning of Littleton, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved and adored her.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Samaritan Village Activities Fund.
