Wittkop, Irene E.
Irene E. Wittkop, 93, of Jesup, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with burial at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, and one hour before services Friday at the church.
Mrs. Wittkop is survived by three sons, Jerry L. (Vergie) Wittkop of Nolanville, Texas, Jim D. (Edna Mae) Wittkop of Des Moines, and Joe Wittkop of Prairie Grove, Ark.; one daughter, Joyce (Eldon Glessing) Thomsen-Glessing of Howard Lake, Minn.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marlyn (Bernard) Fox of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dona Venz of Fairbank.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward (1997); her parents; and one brother, Gordon Moulds.
She worked 27 years as a nurse's aide at the Mental Health Institute in Independence.
