Flugge, Brian J.
Brian J. Flugge, 40, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends an hour before service time on Saturday. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremations Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Dana of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Brylie, age 11, Reegan, age 8, Attika, age 4, and Ellison, age 2; parents, Marlan Flugge of Waverly and Sharon (Larry) Lovelace of Riceville, Iowa; a sister, Jody (Tim) Moddox of Texas; a brother, Randy (Sue) Flugge of California; and grandmother, Margaret Fox of Riceville.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rhonda Flugge; and grandparents, Russell Fox and Lillian (Willie) Wilcox.
Brian was born Jan. 16, 1973, in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Marlan Flugge and Sharon Lovelace. He graduated from Waverly Shell Rock High School in 1991. Brian then worked in the heating, cooling and plumbing industries in Waverly. Upon moving to Cedar Rapids he worked for Ohel, Kelly, Colony and Ahern before starting his own business called Reegan's Heating, Cooling and Plumbing. On Dec. 29, 2003, he married Dana Willenbring at the Wedding Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Brian was a member of Home Service Network.
He loved to play horseshoes and participated in tournaments. Brian was always ready to try anything but his friends and family were the most important things to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to his children's education fund in care of Collins Community Credit Union.
