Fox, Patricia 'Pat' Jeanne (Colton)
Patricia “Pat” Jeanne (Colton) Fox, born Oct. 23, 1946, passed away at St. Luke's Hospice, Cedar Rapids, on Oct. 26, 2013, after a very short battle with cancer. Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon, by Celebrant Mary Morgan. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
Pat is survived by her sister, Jacquelyn (Colton) Puffer, Mechanicsville; and brother, Donald (Jane Almond) Colton of Benton, Ill.
“Aunt Pat” is also survived by her nephews, Wade (Jolyn Loukota) and their daughter, Jordyn, Marion, and Matthew (Jennifer Petsche) and their son, Wyatt, Des Moines; and nieces, Shannon Colton (Scott Carlson) and their children, Jacob and Willow, Germantown, Wis.; and Dominique Colton (Bryan Matthews) and their son, Colton, of Kenosha, Wis.
Also surviving Pat are good friends, Theresa Hamlett, Ed and Karen Kleppe, Dave and Laura McClure, Buzz and Linda Bixby and Clarence Hanson.
Pat worked at Rockwell Collins for 45 years, retiring in 2011. While there, she took every test she could to advance her employment opportunities and served as IBEW Union Steward. She was a volunteer at Treasures/Bridgehaven and WRAP (Wheelchair Ramp Accessibility Program). Pat was also a member of The Red Hat Society.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David; a sister, Grace; her brother-in-law, Phil Puffer; and nephew, Mark Puffer.
A memorial fund in Pat's honor has been established.
