Lorraine E. Stephenson, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Mercy Hallmar after a short illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Lloyd Brock-meyer will officiate.
Survivors include son, Michael (Karen) of Grapevine, Texas; daughter, Lynda Sheehan of Canandaigua, N.Y.; sister, Jean High of Sebring, Fla.; and grandson, James (Denise) Wenger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Lorraine was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Peter and Lois Frederick Fenstad. She worked at Collins Radio for several years and later at Vigortone in the accounting department for over 21 years, retiring in 1994.
Lorraine was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed travel with family and friends.
Lorraine was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
