Stephenson, Betty J.
Betty J. Stephenson, 89, of Marion, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Marion, by Vicki Standley. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church. Burial: 2 p.m. Friday, Lafayette Cemetery, Alburnett. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Tom) Evans of Green Bay, Wis., Peggy Harvey of Cedar Rapids, Nancy (Paul) Beaurline of South St. Paul, Minn., and Charles (Kandi) Stephenson of Hudson, Wis. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stephenson; and son, William Stephenson.
Betty was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Schultz) Curtis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Marion.
A memorial fund has been established in Betty's name.
