Iowa’s Sean Welsh earns first-team all-Big Ten honors

CHICAGO - Iowa guard Sean Welsh earned first-team all-Big Ten football honors from the media Wednesday and running back Akrum Wadley and tight end Noah Fant were third team selections by the coaches and media.
Welsh was the only Hawkeye picked to the first-team offense, but Josey Jewell and Josh Jackson earned first-team defensive honors Tuesday. Welsh was a second-team selection by the coaches.
The league will announced its individual awards Thursday.
James Daniels earned honorable mention recognition in both lists, and Nate Stanley was honorable mention by the media.
