Loebsack, Peters in Oct. 10 forum in Coralville

IOWA CITY - The Johnson County Task Force on Aging and the League of Women Voters of Johnson County will host Iowa's 2nd District candidates in a forum from 2 to 3:30, Oct. 10, at the Coralville Public Library.
Democratic Rep. Dave Loebsack of Iowa City and Republican challenger Chris Peters of Coralville will take questions from the League and the Task Force as well as moderators Kathie Obradovich of the Des Moines Register and Dean Borg of Iowa Public Television. Audience members will be invited to submit questions.
The 24-county 2nd District covers most of southeastern Iowa including Johnson, Cedar, Washington, Muscatine and Louisa counties.
Loebsack, 63, a former Cornell College professor, is seeking a sixth term. Peters, 55, is a surgeon and owner of Corridor Surgery and Vein Center.
