Taylor, Bernard
Bernard Taylor, 57, of Iowa City, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Mercy Iowa City. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Bernard was born Jan. 11, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Bailey and Merlene (Cole) Taylor. He attended Cedar Rapids schools, graduating from Washington High School. Following high school he embarked on a career in the music profession as a stage technician as bands performed around the country. One group he was with, and very proud to let you know, was the Grateful Dead.
His family includes his wife, Ranae; daughters, Teryn Netz and Kashia Taylor; son, Ian Taylor; grandchildren, Aalijah, Makelle and Azarious; a sister, Joyce Taylor; and a brother, Bailey Taylor Jr.
