No taxpayer money for private schools

Why does the Iowa Legislature keep wanting to punish special-needs kids and their families?
A private school voucher bill, from the Iowa Senate, aims to steal money from Iowa public schools and redistribute it to private schools for about $7,000 a student.
As the proposal is written, there are no standards or oversight for allocating the money and no accountability.
Legally, private schools don't have to educate any special needs children or any child they view as a problem. This type of legislation takes money out of an already stretched public school budget, ultimately affecting every child receiving a public school education.
This action is a blatant cash grab from Iowa taxpayers and comes at the expense of vulnerable children.
